PS4/Xbox One Rocket League Cross Network Play Is Ready Says Dev; Waiting For Sony's Green Light
The PS4 and Xbox One cross-network play feature forRocket League is ready to go, but programmer Psyonix is waiting for Sony's blessing to turn it on.
Psyonix vice president, Jeremy Dunham, said as much in an interview with IGN the other 24-hour interval. According to Dunham, the cantankerous network feature could be up and running within "a few hours".
"Right now," explained Dunham, "nosotros're literally at the point where all nosotros need is the go-ahead on the Sony side and we tin can, in less than a concern twenty-four hour period, turn it on and take it up and working no problem. Judging from Dunham's statement, Microsoft has already greenlighted Psyonix's feature, and it'south now up to Sony to give their approval as well.

Back in March of this year, Microsoft enabled developers to support cross-network play with other platforms, while continuing to natively back up cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows ten games using Xbox Live. Microsoft announced that Psyonix's Rocket League would be "one of the first games to take advantage of this new feature by enabling cantankerous-network play between Xbox One and PC players, with an open invitation for other networks to participate likewise".
